Dan Mikosz – Pastry Chef/Owner

 

Cakes are Dan Mikosz’s passion.

 

Growing up in the suburbs of Chicago, Dan loved trying new dishes at restaurants with his dad and reading cookbooks for fun. Later, though, he became “practical” and got a degree in finance. A finance job eventually transferred him to Seattle, where he realized that he was completely uninterested in finance and decided to take a leap of faith. 

 

He quit his job and went back to school, earning a certificate in pastry and specialty baking from South Seattle Community College in 2001. While still in school, he began working at Parisian Star Desserts, a wholesale bakery in Seattle. 

 

Since 2004, Dan has focused more of his time and energy on creating wedding and specialty cakes. With Decadence Custom Cakes, he utilizes his experience and training to provide the perfect, unique cake for each client, regardless of the occasion.
